Dr. George E. Ayers

Dr. George E. Ayers has over 51 years of experience in higher education as well as consulting to education and philanthropic organizations. After successfully providing leadership to several organizations, he established Ayers & Associates, Inc. in 1989. He has served in administrative capacities at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, Central State University, Chicago State University, Massasoit Community College, Minnesota Metropolitan State University, Mankato State University, and CASE Western Reserve University. He holds a B.S. from Western Illinois University, and M.A. and Ed.D. degrees from the University of Northern Colorado.

Ms. Danita M. Ayers

Ms. Danita M. Ayers has over 24 years of professional experience in the corporate world as well as consulting to corporate and non-profit entities. She has assisted with firm initiatives since its inception and joined as a principal after having served as a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. Ms. Ayers is an assistant professor of business and management and has also held positions at the consulting firm Telesis/Cresap - A Towers Perrin Company, Citibank and Dominick's Finer Foods. She holds a B.A. from Brown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Dr. Mary Burger

Dr. Burger has many years of professional experience in higher education and educational consulting. She became affiliated with the firm after serving as vice chancellor for academic and student affairs for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education for 19 years. Dr. Burger has also served in administrative positions at California State University-Sacramento, Tennessee State University, The University of Maryland System, and the University of Maryland at College Park. She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, an M.A. from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. from Washington University (Missouri).

Dr. John Henderson

Dr. John Henderson has over 45 years of professional experience in higher education and consulting to organizations on educational issues. He became affiliated with the firm after having served as president of Wilberforce University, the oldest historically black university in the United States. Dr. Henderson has also held administrative positions at Cincinnati Technical College, Sinclair Community College and the University of Cincinnati. He holds a B.S. from Hampton University as well as a M.Ed. and an Ed.D. from the University of Cincinnati.

Mr. Richard Ross

Mr. Ross has 24 years of professional experience in financial roles for corporate and non-profit entities. He became affiliated with the firm in 2001 and is currently the chief financial officer (CFO) for GeoStructures, Inc. Mr. Ross has also been CFO and chief executive officer (CEO) at Delmar Systems, Inc. and RandTec, Inc. as well as the CFO at the Village Foundation, WillGo, Inc., Temps & Co., and Allegheny Freight Lines, Inc. He is a former senior manager/national director at KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Ross holds a B.S. and an MBA from Lehigh University, and is a certified public accountant in the State of Maryland.
